2) WAIANAE (24/7 CLOSURE + CONTRAFLOW) The eastward shoulder and right line of Farrington Highway (Route 93) between Maipalaoa Road and St. John’s Road will sojourn sealed over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week for a Maipalaoa Bridge Replacement project.

Contraflow of a center line to support a morning and afternoon commutes operates Monday by Friday. For a morning invert there are dual lanes going eastward and one line going westbound. For a afternoon invert a center line is switched over to yield dual lanes westbound and one eastward lane. On weekends and holidays a center line is set in a westbound direction.

Kamehameha Highway between Middle Street and Laumaka Street will be reduced to one westbound and one eastward line 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, for The Rail. Other adjustments to a area include:

  • No left turns from Kamehameha Highway will be allowed.
  • Pedestrian entrance will be maintained.
  • Driveway and Business entrance will be maintained.
  • The H-1 eastward off-ramp to Dillingham Blvd. will be reduced to one lane. Middle Street southbound left spin reduced to singular spin lane.
  • The path on a makai side of Dillingham Boulevard between Puuhale Road and Mokauea Street will be sealed 24/7 with pedestrians rerouted to a mauka sidewalk.
