Route 2 overpass dispersion to impact Route 202 trade in Orange

ORANGE — The state Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is demolishing a Route 2 overpass over Route 202, that will need overnight and daytime closures of lanes on Route 202 for dual weeks.

The work began on Sunday, Dec. 5, according to a MassDOT press release.

During a overnight work, Route 202 will be sealed from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. a following morning, commencement Sunday night by Friday morning during a weeks of Dec. 5 and Dec. 12. Detours will be in place, a recover states. Route 2 will also have occasional short-term rolling highway blocks to promote dismissal of girders.
