AUSTIN (KXAN) — A male was arrested by a Fayette County Sheriff’s Office after 50 pounds of pot was found in his automobile during a trade stop.

The driver, 47-year-old Jimmy Newman, was pulled over Aug. 19 during mile pen 667 on Interstate Highway 10. Officials pronounced they witnessed mixed “criminal indicators” as they talked to a motorist and dual passengers.

Police were authorised to hunt a car after seeking a driver. Beneath layers of ice, food, and drinks a Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Canine Unit detected 50 pounds of marijuana.
